Getting Started
What is VoxAI?▼
VoxAI is an AI-powered 3D voxel art generator. You can create stunning voxel models from text descriptions or images in seconds. Perfect for game developers, artists, and hobbyists.
Do I need any 3D modeling experience?▼
No! VoxAI handles all the complexity. Just describe what you want or upload an image, and AI generates the 3D voxel model for you.
What platforms can I export to?▼
VoxAI supports Unity, Unreal, Blender, MagicaVoxel, Blockbench, and more via .vox, .json, .glb (direct download), plus converted FBX and OBJ (ZIP) from View Voxel. See the Export Formats guide for details.
Credits & Pricing
How many credits do I get for free?▼
New users get free starter credits to try VoxAI. Create an account to see your current credit balance and start creating!
How much does each action cost?▼
Text-to-image and image-to-voxel art batches cost credits based on the image model you select (see the Text-to-Voxel doc for the table). Image-to-3D and re-voxelize use the fixed costs in Account setup. Minecraft model rigging is 30 credits per run by default, or 100 credits when Better Rigging is turned on in the app. Downloads are free.
What's the difference between plans?▼
Pro ($14/mo, 800 credits/mo), Premium ($49/mo, 3,000 credits/mo), and Studio ($199/mo, 13,000 credits/mo). Higher plans offer better value per credit and extras like a dedicated account manager. Unused subscription credits roll over month to month.
Do unused credits roll over?▼
Unused subscription (purple) credits roll over and stack month to month. Yellow credits (Free & Top-up) from Discord, promos, and purchases never expire.
How do one-off credit top-ups work?▼
You can buy Yellow credits without changing your subscription: 45 credits per $1 USD, with a $10 USD minimum per purchase. Amounts like $10, $20, and $30 are available as quick options on the Pricing page in the app.
Generation & Quality
How can I get better results?▼
Use single subjects (not multiple objects), images that show depth, and voxel/pixel art style references. Our model is already fine-tuned for voxel art—no need to add special keywords to prompts!
What's the difference between AI models?▼
VoxAI HiRez: Best for detailed characters and complex subjects. VoxAI Stable: Fast and consistent for simple objects. Hunyuan3D: Different style, more organic look.
Why does my model look different than expected?▼
AI results can vary. Try generating multiple variations, using different prompts, or adjusting the source image. You can also re-voxelize at different angles.
What cube size should I use?▼
0.022 for maximum detail (renders, 3D printing), 0.035-0.036 for Minecraft, 0.04-0.05 for mobile games. See our Cube Size Guide for details.
Export & Formats
What formats are available?▼
Native: .vox, .json (Blockbench/Minecraft), .glb (games and web). Converted downloads: FBX (Unreal/Maya/FBX pipelines) and OBJ as a ZIP with textures. GLB is recommended for most real-time use; FBX/OBJ require a short server conversion—keep the tab open until the download starts.
Are downloads free?▼
Yes! Once you've generated a model, downloading in any format—including FBX and OBJ conversions—is completely free and unlimited.
Can I use VoxAI models commercially?▼
Yes! Subscribers own full commercial rights to models they create. Free users' models are public and may be featured in the gallery.
How do I import into Minecraft/Blockbench?▼
Download as .json, then import in Blockbench via File → Import → Add External Model. We recommend re-voxelizing at 0.035-0.036 cube size first.
Re-voxelization
What is re-voxelization?▼
Re-voxelization lets you adjust the detail level (cube size) and angle of your model. It only costs 1 credit and is great for optimizing models for different platforms.
Should I download before re-voxelizing?▼
Yes! Always download your original model first. Re-voxelization alters the model permanently, so keep your high-detail version saved.
What's the 45° trick for swords?▼
When re-voxelizing swords or bladed weapons, rotate them 45° in Edit Mode before re-voxelizing. This creates the sharp, Minecraft-style blade look.
Account & Privacy
Are my models private?▼
Subscriber models are private by default. Free models may be public and featured in the VoxAI Gallery.
Where are my models stored?▼
Generated images are stored in 'Create Voxel' and 3D models are saved in 'View Voxel'. You can access, download, or re-voxelize any previous creation.
How do I cancel my subscription?▼
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
Troubleshooting
My generation is stuck/failed▼
Generations typically take 30-60 seconds. If it's been longer, try refreshing the page. If issues persist, report it in our Discord #bug-reports channel.
The model looks corrupted or broken▼
This can happen with complex scenes or multiple subjects. Try a simpler prompt, single subject, or different source image.
I can't import my model into [software]▼
Check our Integration guides for platform-specific instructions. Most issues are resolved by using the correct format and cube size for your target platform.
